Accommodation
Guests at Ihamba Lakeside Safari Lodge wake up with a beautiful view of the shores of Lake George. The African touches blend into the natural surroundings. Accommodation options include our beautiful stand-alone double occupancy cottages, that could accommodate couples, co-travelers and could also be arranged to accommodate triple occupancy when needed. We also have a 2-bedroom family cottage suite, that is perfect for families. By special arrangement, the lodge can also be booked on a full exclusive-use basis and will be looked after by our dedicated team,

Our culinary team is led by Chef William Obuba, with over 20 years of experience, who has taken our cuisine to new heights that guests have likened to some of the best in the country. We understand that food and dining is a key feature of our guests’ stay and we strive to create a variety of memorable experiences in beautiful locations around the lodge. Our menus, are prepared daily, with a focus on sourcing produce from within our local communities.

Ihamba Lakeside Safari Lodge offers a unique combination experience of safari, lake and relaxation in the unspoiled Queen Elizabeth National Park. Ihamba is home to a stunning array of wildlife, such as huge breeding herds of African elephants, as well as hippos, buffaloes, lions, leopards, chimpanzees and over 600 bird species. Accompanied by knowledgeable and experienced conservation-minded tour-guides, our guests can explore Uganda’s most popular tourist destination through exhilarating activities such as lion & chimpanzee tracking, bird watching, hiking, nature walks and the beautiful Kazinga Channel boat cruise.
Community Support
The Ihamba family strongly believes in supporting the communities within which it is situated, with the objective of playing an active role in the preservation of the local culture, as well as the economic uplifting of the community members. Integral to our culture and fabric is the intentional recruitment and hospitality training of the youth, from within the community, with the purpose of integrating them into the Ihamba Lodge workforce.

Ihamba also supports its local farmers through sourcing and purchasing produce, fresh fish, and meats, as well as coffee. We also facilitate and support tourists that visit Ihamba to offer education sponsorships and scholastic materials necessary for children in the community to attend school.
